Battery Optimization Settings Safe Zone અને Arrival Alerts ને કઈ રીતે Affect કરે છે
Arrival alert દસ મિનિટ મોડું આવે, અથવા બિલકુલ ન આવે, એ broken feature નથી — લગભગ હંમેશા phone-level setting ચૂપચાપ નક્કી કરે છે કે app ને અત્યારે run થવાની જરૂર નથી.
આ ખાસ કરીને Geofence Alerts કેમ Break કરે છે
Safe Zones અને Arrival Alarms બંને app પર depend કરે છે — background માં location check કરવા અને એને boundary સામે compare કરવા, પછી ભલે કલાકો સુધી કોઈએ app ખોલી ન હોય. આ બરાબર એ પ્રકારની background activity છે જેને Android ની battery optimization — અને વધુ aggressively, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, અને કેટલાક Samsung ફોન પરના custom OEM battery managers — suspend કરવા designed છે. App crash નથી થતી; operating system power બચાવવા માટે background work pause કરે છે, જેનો મતલબ કે જે location check એ alert fire કરવાનું હતું એ સમય પર run જ નથી થતું.
તમારી Problem આ છે કે નહીં એ કઈ રીતે ખબર પડે
- Alert આખરે આવે છે, ફક્ત થોડી minutes late — phone unlock થાય કે બીજી app ખુલે એ પછી
- Reboot પછી તરત barabar કામ કરે, પછી Raksha ખોલ્યા વગર phone જેટલું વધુ ચાલે એટલું ઓછું reliable થાય
- Pixel કે newer Samsung devices કરતાં Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, કે જૂના Samsung phones પર વધારે ખરાબ
- App manually ખોલો ત્યારે location બરાબર દેખાય — એટલે tracking પોતે કામ કરે છે, ફક્ત automatic alert late છે
સૌથી વધુ Matter કરતી બે Settings
- Battery optimization exemption — Settings → Apps → Raksha → Battery → "Unrestricted" (અથવા "Don't optimize") પર set કરો. આ stock Android setting છે અને દરેક phone પર apply થાય છે.
- OEM auto-start / background permission — Xiaomi (Autostart), Vivo (Autostart + High background power consumption), Oppo/Realme (Auto-launch), અને કેટલાક Samsung phones (Battery → unmonitored apps) પર, stock Android ઉપરાંત એક બીજું, અલગ toggle છે — આ miss કરવું એ સૌથી common reason છે કે step 1 fix કર્યા પછી પણ alerts unreliable રહે.
એક જ Phone પર કેટલાક Alerts કેમ કામ કરે અને કેટલાક નહીં
Ring કે lock જેવી manual action server તરફથી એક-વખત ની push છે જે Android લગભગ હંમેશા deliver કરે, restricted phone પર પણ — એને પહેલેથી ચૂપચાપ background માં run થતી app ની જરૂર નથી. Safe Zone કે Arrival Alarm અલગ છે: એ device પર continuous background location checks પર depend કરે છે, જે બરાબર એ ongoing activity છે જેને interrupt કરવા battery managers બનેલા છે. એટલે જ ring અને lock perfectly કામ કરી શકે જ્યારે arrival alerts lag કરે — under the hood એ same mechanism નથી.
એક વાર Set કરો, દરેક Alert Miss પછી નહીં
Phone update કે factory reset પછી આ settings ચૂપચાપ reset થવાનું tendency ધરાવે છે, એટલે જ months સુધી કામ કરેલો setup અચાનક alerts miss કરવાનું શરૂ કરી શકે. જો instant આવતા arrival alerts late આવવા લાગે, તો બીજું કંઈ change થયું છે એમ માની લેતાં પહેલાં આ જ બે settings ફરી check કરો.
