1. Introduction

Raksha Club ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Raksha mobile application and website at raksha.club. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our family safety and phone recovery service. By using Raksha, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create a Raksha account we collect your name, phone number, and optionally an email address. Family circle invitations are sent via phone number or share link.

2.2 Location Data

With your explicit permission, Raksha collects the GPS location of your device to power the family map, Lost Mode GPS tracking, and SOS broadcasting. Location is only shared with members of your approved family circle. You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings or the Raksha app.

2.3 Device Information

We collect device name, battery level, connection status (online / nearby / offline), and device model. This data is displayed to your family circle members to support recovery operations.

2.4 Usage Data

We collect anonymous crash reports and app performance metrics (via third-party crash-analytics services) to improve reliability. These logs do not contain personal location data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate core features: ringing devices, Lost Mode, SOS alerts, and the family location map.
• To authenticate your account and manage your family circle membership.
• To send push notifications for SOS events, ring commands, and recovery alerts.
• To debug crashes and improve app performance.
• To respond to your support requests sent to hello@raksha.club.

We do not use your location data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the family safety features you explicitly enable.

4. Data Sharing

Your location and device data is shared only with members of your family circle that you have personally approved. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We may share data with:

• Infrastructure providers — cloud hosting and database services that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Analytics providers — anonymous crash and performance data only.
• Law enforcement — only when required by applicable Indian law or a valid legal order.

5. Consent and Transparency

Raksha is built on mutual consent. Every family circle member must opt in before their device data is shared. An active tracking indicator is always visible on every device being monitored. No stealth or background tracking occurs without explicit, ongoing user permission.

You may withdraw consent and leave a family circle at any time from the app settings. Upon leaving, your location data is no longer shared and existing location history visible to circle members is purged within 24 hours.

6. Data Retention

Active location data is retained for up to 7 days to support location history features on paid plans. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit and at rest. Family circle membership is authenticated and access-controlled so only approved members can view your data. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong passcode on your device.

8. Children's Privacy

Raksha is designed for family use including minors as members of a family circle managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 as independent account holders. Parent or guardian consent is required to add a minor's device to a family circle.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for location sharing at any time.
• Opt out of crash analytics by disabling analytics in app settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a push notification or in-app banner before they take effect. Continued use of Raksha after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
