You dozed off on the bus, and now you've missed your stop

It's a long ride to Bangalore or Hyderabad. You tell yourself you'll stay awake until your stop. You don't. An hour later you wake up with a start, unsure how far past your stop you've already gone — and now you're stuck figuring out how to get back.

Set the alarm for a few minutes before their actual destination instead of right on top of it. You get the alert while they're still on the way — enough time to leave home, get there, and be waiting for them instead of the other way around.
