Why Bother, for a Few Days
Most house and pet sitting arrangements are short, informal, and built on trust — which is exactly why a quick, low-effort way to stay reassured helps. Instead of calling to ask if they've arrived or left for the evening walk, a temporary spot in your Family Circle lets you glance and know, without turning a favor into a surveillance job for either of you.
Add Them as a Temporary Circle Member
Send them an invite link the same way you would any family member. There's nothing sitter-specific to configure — they join, their phone shows up in your circle for the duration of the stay, and you can see when they've arrived at or left your home the same way you'd track anyone else's daily comings and goings.
Set a Safe Zone Around Your Home
This is the part that actually does the work. A safe zone around your address gives you an arrival alert when they get there and an exit alert when they leave — useful on its own terms (no more "are you there yet?" texts) and a quiet reassurance if a scheduled visit doesn't happen when expected.
What They Can and Can't See
A regular circle member sees location and safe zone activity for the household, not anything beyond that. Remove Access When You're Back
The easy part to forget. Once you're home, remove them from the circle the same day rather than "getting to it eventually" — it takes a minute, and there's no reason a sitting arrangement from three trips ago should still have visibility into your family's daily movements.
