A company offsite usually means a resort a few hours out of town, a schedule packed with team sessions and activities, and phones that stay in a bag through most of the day. It is not the same as a family holiday, so there is no constant stream of updates home, and the family knows that, but a light setup still helps bridge the two or three days without leaving anyone wondering.

Different From a Regular Business Trip
A normal work trip has some structure a family can anchor to, flight times, hotel check-in, meeting hours. An offsite is looser, an itinerary the company controls, activities that run into the evening, and a resort where checking your phone during a session is discouraged. The family back home is not expecting hourly updates, but they do want to know you reached safely and that the trip is proceeding as planned.
A Quick Setup Before You Travel
Share the basic itinerary before you leave
Where the offsite is, when you travel there and back, and roughly when you expect to be reachable. This alone answers most of the "when will I hear from them" uncertainty.
Keep your existing family circle running in the background
You do not need a new setup for a work trip. Just make sure your location keeps sharing normally through the two or three days.
Set the resort or venue as a safe zone if it is a repeat location
For an annual offsite at the same venue, an arrival alert each year is a nice, low-effort way to confirm you reached safely without sending a message.
Tell the family in advance that phone use will be limited
A heads-up that you will mostly be offline during sessions prevents a quiet day from being read as something being wrong.
Adventure Activities at the Offsite
Many offsites include an adventure component, rappelling, a trek, water sports, that takes place somewhere with weaker network than the resort itself. That is expected and rarely a concern on its own, but it is worth mentioning to family beforehand so a few hours of no movement on the map reads as "on the activity", not as a reason to worry.
The Trip Home
The one moment worth flagging clearly is the return, since offsite groups often travel back together late, sometimes after a long day of activities. An arrival alert once you are home closes the loop cleanly, and it is a small, welcome thing to see after being away with limited contact for a couple of days.
